Liechtenstein -Country reports published -February 02, 2014

The Office of Statistics has produced an overview of employment data and figures. A majority of the labour force is commuting (52% in 2012) from Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The gross monthly wage (in 2010) was on average 6,257 Swiss francs (5,128 euro). Good to know that big brother is also watching; the CIA’s World Factbook includes country reports from around the globe and uses the same data. The Factbook notes that the country participates in a customs union with Switzerland and uses the Swiss franc as its national currency. The low business taxes are memorised, with a maximum tax rate of 20%. Combined with easy incorporation rules this has induced many holding companies to establish nominal offices in Liechtenstein providing 30% of state revenues.
