Serbia -Yumco workers lift roadblock after government concessions -February 14, 2014

Workers of the Yumco textile factory in Vranje have lifted their roadblocks in Southern Serbia after concessions regarding health insurance and delayed pay by the government. The workers have been on an all-out strike for a month and threw up roadblocks on 12 February. Due to operational problems the Yumco factory is facing restructuring and employees have not been paid for eight months. The workers have agreed to drop the blockades but are yet to decide on ending the strike after receiving proposals from the government.
