Spain -Dispute over lay-offs at Coca Cola -February 21, 2014

Coca-Cola workers have been on strike all month over plans to close four bottling factories, They rejected a proposed layoffs deal by the US drinks giant, demanding it halt factory closures which they say threaten nearly 1,200 jobs. Talks between the trade unions and the management are difficult and the trade unions are sceptical to come to any agreement while the management is still planning closures and layoffs. The strike won plenty of popular support with some consumers banning the popular beverage.
