The eleven canteen workers of Istanbul’s Cerrahpaşa Hospital who were fired for complaining about low pay were reinstated. The workers, employed by a subcontractor overseeing canteen services, were member of the Dev Sağlık-İş Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions (DİSK). After the dismissal of the eleven workers, colleagues organised a 22 day sit-in in the hospital garden, which led to the reinstatement of the workers.
