United Kingdom -Tube workers to be consulted over cuts programme -February 14, 2014

After going on strike from 4 to 6 February, London tube workers represented by the National Union for Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) and Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) are to be consulted on a planned cut programme. As reported in last month’s newsletter, the London Underground recently presented a unilateral programme involving the cut of 950 ticket office jobs. The workers went on strike demanding to be consulted on the reformed and have now won two months to reach an agreement.
