Denmark -Prominent companies announce job cuts -November 11, 2015

The shipping division of Maersk announced that it is cutting jobs and making other ‘streamlining’ efforts. The land staff of 23,000 will be reduced with 4,000 by the end of 2017. Maersk Line reduces the capacity of its route network and defer investments in new capacity while continuing to simplify its organisation. Beer giant Carlsberg has announced it is cutting 2,000 jobs – 700 more than it had announced previously. The company is in the midst of a huge restructuring program, according to its third quarter report.
