The steep decline in the price of oil has already cost thousands of jobs and triggered uncertainty among workers. More than 20,000 people already have lost their jobs in oil and oil supply companies. Early this month oil service firm Aker Solutions announced that as many as 500 employees will be losing their jobs, mostly in the subsea operations.
