Guinee Minimum Wage
Article 211 of the Labour Code provides a minimum guaranteed rate for an hour of work, so employees are entitled to a minimum wage.
After five months of negotiations, Friday, December 14, 2012 the government, the employers and the trade union movement Guinea signed a Memorandum of Understanding which sets the minimum wage Guaranteed (SMIG) monthly to 440,000 GNF. These rate apply for the current year (2013) as well.
There is not an official document of the new minimum wage in Guinea except the Memorandum of Understanding, the application of which is not yet effective in the field.
